Flights of Foundry 2024
Flights of Foundry 2024 is coming up! Flights is a free, virtual, and international convention for SFFH creators and fans running September 27 – 29. I’ll be there all weekend as an attendee and, for the first time, as a participant! Come find me on Sunday 9/29 for three events:
- Writing Speculative Flash Fiction (Hour 50/11 AM PST)
A discussion about how to write speculative flash fiction. What makes submissions stand out in the slush pile? How can you tell that you are trying to put too much into a flash story? What makes a flash story hit home? - Handiwork Project Share (Hour 56/5 PM PST)
Do you make stuff? Bring your sewing, leatherwork, crochet or knitting, weaving, etc, and share your project in progress! And if you have questions or need advice, we’re here for that too. - Juggling Multiple Projects (Hour 58/7 PM PST)
How to stay motivated, organized, productive, and successful (whatever that means to you) when working on multiple creative projects at the same time.
Again, Flights is free, but if you can, please consider donating and/or buying some merch. They are a fantastic organization, and this convention is so much fun and an excellent resource/community for SFFH creators at all stages of their careers. You can listen to panels, participate in co-working events, attend chill-n-chats with creators, see an awesome pet slideshow! There’s programming running around the clock, so no matter what time you are in, there is something for you.
