Sale: “Ms. Anaria’s Classroom Rules…”
I signed the contract and am absolutely thrilled to say that I have sold my first ever story to Nature Futures!
My flash fiction story “Ms. Anaria’s Classroom Rules for W̶e̶l̶l̶-̶B̶e̶h̶a̶v̶e̶d̶ ̶K̶i̶n̶d̶e̶r̶g̶a̶r̶t̶n̶e̶r̶s̶ When Alien Ambassadors Dock with the Wrong Ship” will be coming out with Futures in, well, the future.
“Ms. Anaria’s Classroom Rules” is the fastest story I’ve ever sold (only its second submission), the first time I’ve ever written anything in a list format, and hands down the longest title of anything I’ve ever produced. The story is about a kindergarten teacher who suddenly finds herself thrust into politics when the alien ambassadors dock with her ship instead of the government ship by mistake. She then decides to make lemonade out of lemons and get some injustices sorted.
Futures has been a dream publication for me for some time, and I am so excited for this story to come out with them soon.
